How it works

Buying, selling, offers, auctions, raffles, Shuffles and fees, in plain words.

1Getting started

You can browse everything without an account. To buy or sell, connect an Algorand wallet: Pera, Defly or Lute. There's no sign-up and no password. Your wallet asks you to approve every transaction, and we never see your keys.

New to Algorand? Get the Pera wallet, add some ALGO, then tap Connect wallet at the top of any page.

Algorand charges a tiny network fee on each transaction (a fraction of a cent). Some actions also hold a small deposit that the blockchain needs while something is open. You get it back when it closes.

2Buying

Find something on Explore, Buy or by searching, then tap Buy. You pay the price shown, plus the network fee. The NFT lands in your wallet straight away.

Buying from several listings at once? On a collection page, tick the ones you want (or use Sweep) and buy them together.

3Selling and fees

Open My NFTs, tap an NFT and choose how to sell it: Fixed price, Auction or Raffle. The price starts at the collection's floor, and the panel shows what you'll receive before you approve anything.

A listing holds a refundable deposit of 0.5925 ALGO while it's up. It comes back when the NFT sells or you delist. You can change the price or delist at any time.

Fees come out of the sale price, so the buyer pays exactly the price shown. Here is what's taken from each kind of sale:

SaleMarketplace feeCreator royalty
Fixed-price sale3% (1.5% + 1.5%)Set by the creator, 5% if they haven't
Accepted offer3% (1.5% + 1.5%)5%
Auction3% (1.5% + 1.5%)5%
Raffle3%You choose when you start it
Shuffle3%None

The marketplace fee on sales and offers is split into two halves: one for the marketplace where it was listed and one for the marketplace where it was bought. The royalty goes to the artist.

4Offers

Want something that isn't for sale, or for less? Make an offer on one NFT, or on a whole collection so any holder can accept it. Your ALGO stays in your wallet: nothing is locked in a contract, and you can keep using it. When a seller accepts, the payment goes through automatically and the NFT is sent to you, usually within a few seconds.

Offers last 7 days. You approve once in your wallet when you make the offer. Because an Algorand payment can only be signed about 45 minutes ahead, that approval covers one payment for each 45-minute period of the week. Signing doesn't send them, and only one is ever used, when a seller accepts. Your wallet may show a large total fee for the batch; you only pay about 0.004 ALGO, plus a small deposit you get back when the offer ends.

Keep enough ALGO in your wallet to cover your offers. If the funds aren't there when a seller accepts, the sale doesn't go through. When an offer ends unfilled it's cleared automatically and the deposit is refunded.

When someone offers on your NFT you'll see it in Offers, with what you'd receive after fees. As with a listing, the buyer pays exactly their offer and the fees come out of it.

5Auctions

Bid before the timer runs out; the highest bid wins. Each bid must beat the last by at least 5% of the starting price, and a bid in the last 5 minutes adds 5 more, so nobody can snipe at the buzzer. If you're outbid, your ALGO comes back to you.

To run one, pick an NFT in My NFTs and choose Auction. Set a starting price and how long it runs. If nobody bids, the NFT comes back to you.

6Raffles

Buy tickets for a chance to win one NFT. When the raffle ends, one ticket is drawn at random and wins. Tickets cost at least 0.1 ALGO.

To run one, go to Raffles (or choose Raffle when selling an NFT), set a ticket price and how many tickets. You get the ticket money, less the royalty and the 3% fee.

7Shuffles

A Shuffle is a pool of NFTs sold at one fixed price. You pay and get one at random: maybe a rare one, maybe not. What's left in the pool is shown, so you know your chances.

To sell a batch this way, start a Shuffle. You get each sale straight to your wallet, less the 3% fee.

8Your Inbox

Things you win or buy through auctions, raffles, Shuffles and accepted offers wait in your Inbox until you claim them into your wallet. A number on the Account menu tells you when something's waiting.

9Questions

What is Statto?
Statto is an Algorand NFT marketplace. You can buy and sell NFTs from every Algorand collection, make offers, join auctions, raffles and Shuffles, follow live floor prices and sales, and track any wallet with the free portfolio tracker.
Which wallets work with Statto?
Pera, Defly and Lute. There is no sign-up or password: you connect your wallet and approve each transaction in it. Statto never sees your keys.
What are the fees?
On a fixed-price sale the marketplace fee is 3% and the creator royalty is set by the creator (5% if they haven't). Fees come out of the sale price, so the buyer pays exactly the price shown, plus Algorand's tiny network fee.
How do offers work on Statto?
Make an offer on one NFT or a whole collection and your ALGO stays in your wallet until a seller accepts. Nothing is locked in a contract. When a seller accepts, the payment goes through automatically and the NFT is sent to you within seconds. Offers last 7 days.
Why does my wallet ask me to approve hundreds of transactions for an offer?
An Algorand payment can only be signed about 45 minutes ahead, so a 7-day offer is one approval covering a payment for each 45-minute period. Signing does not send them. Only one is ever used, when a seller accepts, so you pay about 0.004 ALGO in fees.
What do offers cost?
The buyer pays exactly the offer amount plus about 0.004 ALGO in network fees, and a small deposit that is refunded when the offer ends. The seller receives the offer minus a 3% marketplace fee and a 5% creator royalty.
Is Statto safe to use?
Statto never holds your keys, and every transaction is shown in your own wallet for you to approve. Listings, auctions, raffles and offers run on Algorand smart contracts, and the panel shows what you will pay or receive before you sign.
Can I track an Algorand wallet on Statto?
Yes. The portfolio tracker shows everything a wallet holds, including ALGO, tokens, liquidity, DeFi positions and NFTs, valued in ALGO and USD. It works for any address or .algo name, with no sign-in.
